The Batesville Bulldogs kept the game close, but could not put together enough momentum to take a lead late in the game. The Columbus East Olympians defeated the host Bulldogs by a score of 70-62.
Batesville led 14-11 at the end of the first quarter, but East picked up the play in the second quarter to take a 31-26 advantage into halftime. Each team put up 20 points in the third quarter as East took a five point lead into the final eight minutes.
The Bulldogs had three players score in double figures. Robert Raver led the way with 25 points, including a 7-of-8 effort from the free throw line. Austin Siefert was second on the team with 14 points followed by Trey Heidlage with 12.
