The Batesville Lady Bulldogs defeated Milan 63-24 in the consolation round of the Ripley County Tournament on Friday.
The Lady Bulldogs got out to a fast start and led 31-4 at the end of the first quarter. Much of the success was due to the hot shooting from Makayla Granger. Granger scored 21 first quarter points, including four 3-pointers.
The Lady Bulldogs extended the lead to 42-8 by halftime.
Granger led all scorers with 33 points on 12-of-14 shooting from the field. She also had five rebounds and three assists. Sarah Ripperger was second on the team in scoring with 11 points. Ripperger added a team-high six rebounds. Catherine Raab led the team in assists with six.
The Lady Bulldogs improved to 6-9 on the season with the victory.
