The Batesville Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a big lead in the consolation game of the Ripley County basketball tournament and did not look back. Batesville defeated the Milan Lady Indians by a score of 65-41.
Batesville scored 28 first quarter points and led by 25 points at the end of the first break. Milan bounced back with a better second and third quarters to make it 52-32 entering the final eight minutes.
Hattie Westerfeld led the Lady Bulldogs with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Nobbe and Ellie Waechter were second on the team in scoring with 11 points apiece. Kendall added seven.
