8th Grade Girls Basketball played hard on both ends of the floor to pull out an overtime win against Columbus Northside, 44-43. It was a total team effort on defense all game long with many deflections and rebounds, including Sophie Gesell with 6 rebounds and Ava Powner with 5. Offensively the team executed well and worked hard to get open looks. Leading scorers were Aly Peters and Lydia Haskamp each with 12 and Marlee Obermeyer with 6. The Bulldogs never gave up, after trailing almost the entire game. Next game is Thursday against North Decatur. Great job Bulldogs!
