The Batesville High School varsity basketball team lost a 69-65 decision in overtime at East Central.
The Bulldogs led 14 at the end of the first quarter and later 29-28 at halftime. East Central outscored the Bulldogs 18-12 in the third to take a five point lead into the final eight minutes. Batesville bounced back with an 18 point fourth quarter to force overtime.
Colt Meyer led the Bulldogs in scoring with 23 points followed by Trey Heidlage with 17 points. Heidlage added a team-high six assists. Robert Raver grabbed a team best 10 rebounds.
