The Batesville JV track and field team traveled to East Central for the JV Conference meet.

The girls just got beat by four points to Rushville to take 4th place overall and the boys just edged out Rushville by 2 to capture 3rd place overall. On the girls sides, results fell as follows: East Central -179, Franklin County 86, Rushville-66, Batesville-62, Greensburg-52, South Dearborn-50 and Connersville-48. On the boys side, it was Franklin County that took the championship with 165 points to East Central’s 122. Batesville was 3rd-79, then Rushville-77, followed by South Dearborn-58, Lawrrenceburg-55, Connersville-22 and Greensburg-15.

The Bulldogs showed a lot of improvement from the beginning of the year to this conference meet as there were 24 personal records broken! But first let’s recognize the ribbon winners. The Bulldogs had one JV Conference Champion and that went to Kayla Meyer in long jump (13’6″).

This was the last meet of the season for the JV Bulldog tracksters and many took advantage of that as you can see from the long list of personal records for the day. Their hard work throughout the season has paid off.
