It was not the prettiest of victories, but it was a win.
The Batesville Bulldogs traveled to Madison and left with a 41-30 win over the host Cubs.
Batesville held Madison to only two points in the first quarter and took a nine point lead into the second quarter. After giving up 10 points in the second quarter, the Bulldogs stepped up again on the defensive end in the third quarter and held Madison to only five points. This allowed the Bulldogs to extend the lead to 31-17.
Robert Raver, Colt Meyer and Isaac Barker each had eight points. Walter Mattingly was next in line with seven.
