8th grade boys’ basketball came out on top of a thrilling, overtime game at South Ripley by a final score of 51-46. The Bulldogs struggled early versus the Raiders falling behind 11-5 after the first quarter. Key minutes by the players off the bench allowed the game to stay within 6 points as the team struggled with foul trouble all night. Carson Schneider led all scorers with 4 points at halftime with Bulldogs scoring just 12 points in the first half versus the Raiders’ 2-3 zone. The second half was a different story offensively. Cade Kaiser led the charge in the second half with 26 points in the final two quarters and overtime. Gage Pohlman and Jacob Stenger helped make key defensive stops and rebounds to secure the win.
