Softball games moved to Rushville

The Batesville High School varsity and junior varsity softball games scheduled for tonight (4/6/15) have been moved to Rushville. The varsity game will start at 5:30 p.m. with the junior varsity to follow. The games originally scheduled on May 8 at Rushville will now be played at Batesville.

Bulldogs defeat Wildcats and Knights to advance to sectional finals

The Batesville High School boys varsity basketball team advanced to the Class 3A sectional finals at Greensburg with victories on Franklin County and South Dearborn. BHS graduate named HCAC Freshman of the Year

Hanover College’s Wes McKinney (Batesville) has received special recognition by the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.  The freshman forward has been named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year.  McKinney ranked third on the Panthers in scoring during conference play, averaging 10.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. The Indiana High School Athletic Association revealed the 105th annual boys’ state basketball tournament pairings Sunday evening. Sectional tournaments are scheduled to begin Tuesday, March 3, and run through Saturday, March 7. The regional portion of the tournament will be played Saturday, March 14.
