Batesville High School varsity dance team members Katie Bohman, Berto Davalos, and Whitney Drew attended the Varsity Spirit Spectacular at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in Orlando.
The trio represented Batesville High School in the fourth annual Varsity Spirit Spectacular from November 29 to December 2.
Individuals invited to perform in the parade are part of a select group of 9th to 12th grade captains, co-captains and officers who attended a Varsity Spirit summer camp and were awarded the title of All American.
Drew, Bohman and Davalos were part of the 800-member Varsity troupe to perform in an exclusive pre-parade performance through Disney’s Magic Kingdom before of hundreds of fans, and had the opportunity to meet other dancers from across that nation.
The dancers enjoyed the experience and what the event had to offer.
“This was an amazing experience to be part of and it was incredibly worth it,” Davalos commented. “Dancing down Main Street in the Magic Kingdom was extremely fun.
“I am grateful to have been a part of this experience, especially that I was with my best friends,” he added.
Drew exclaimed, “How many people get to dance down Main Street at the Magic Kingdom with their best friends? I did, and even though it was my second time attending the event, it was just as magical and exciting as the first time. I am incredibly blessed to have had the opportunity to do this again!”
“Dancing down Main Street in Magic Kingdom was probably the best experience of my life so far,” Bohman commented. “Doing it with my best friends only made it that much better.”
