Meet Recap

Although the meet was split up into two divisions, the Bulldogs would have kept that second place spot in either division.

The Jennings County boys again ran outstanding scoring just 19 points to Batesville’s 53. The Bulldogs, however had this second place spot pretty soundly as Rushville was behind them in 3rd at 107 points.

For the boys, all seven of the varsity runners for the day received the top 20 honor and they were Adam Moster (sixth), Joshua Myers (ninth), Dillon Murray (10th), Christopher Laymon (12th), Quentin Gowdy (16th), Joseph Choi (18th) and John Thompson (20th).

They also gave awards to the top 20 in the junior varsity race (as one division) and Batesville had many go up and accept these. In fact, the Batesville boys captured the first five spots of the JV race.

Leading the Bulldogs were race winner Nathan Eckstein followed by teammates Charlie Laymon (second), Garrett Wagner (third), Luke Esser (fourth) and Adam Hollowell (fifth) Others getting an award and finishing in the top 20 were: Nathan Vallani (11th), Kaleb McBeath (12th) and Landon Gutwiller (13th). Two Bulldog JV runners just missing out on awards, but were our only personal bests of the morning were, Alex Livers (21:35) and Luke Nuhring (21:52).
