Game Recap

The Batesville High School junior varsity football team opened up with a win over Jennings County on Monday night by a score of 30-2.

Drew McLeod led the Bulldogs with over 200 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Eric Harmeyer had a good night throwing the football for over 100 yards with two touchdown passes to Tyler Myers from 5 yards out and connecting with Zach Jones from over 20 yards as time expired at the end of the first half.

Defensively, it was a team effort as the Bulldogs forced three fumbles and Garren Williamson intercepted a pass. The Bulldogs gave up two points on their first punt of the game as the snap was sent over the punter’s head out of the end zone to give Jennings County their only score of the game.
