The Batesville Middle School seventh grade girls basketball team notched a convincing win over crosstown rival St. Louis by a score of 29-12 at Batesville High School.
The team had balanced scoring and played unselfishly throughout the game, according to coach Shelly Prickel. Carlie Werner led the team in scoring with eight points, while Liz Heidlage and Macy Prickel scored six each. Abby Westerfeld and Ellie Cassidy chipped in with four and three points, respectively. Anna Bauer hit a bucket to round out the scoring.
The win improves the team’s record to 6-1.
