BHS runners travel to Terre Haute to open season

The Batesville Bulldog cross country team opened up their 2018 season with a new race added to their schedule. They traveled over two hours and competed in the Valley Kickoff Meet in Terre Haute at the LaVern Gibson NCAA Championship Course, which also happens to be the high school State Course. BHS tennis team win at Madison

The Batesville boys tennis team defeated Madison by a score of 5-0 on Monday to open their season. Lleyton Ratcliffe, Sam Giesting, and Adam Scott won in singles. In doubles, the teams of George Ritter/Cooper Williams and Ben Rodgers/Brayden Worthington were also winners. In JV matches, Sam Voegele and Seth Gausman were both winners.

The Batesville junior varsity volleyball team opened the season with a convincing win over South Ripley by the scores of 25-15 and 25-13. Nikki Fox settled in for 6 aces of her own, while Kerrigan Haskamp racked up 4 kills.

The Batesville junior varsity volleyball team defeated Madison in three games with scores of 16-25, 25-17, and 15-5. Katie Bedel scored 15 points including 2 aces in a 19/20 serving effort. Shalee Harrington chipped in six points from the service line. Grace  Laudick led in serve receptions with 11, while Belle Wolters had 8 digs and 5 assists

The Batesville boys tennis team defeated Milan by a score of 5-0 on Tuesday to improve their record to 2-0. In singles play, Lleyton Ratcliffe, Sam Giesting, and Adam Scott all won.
